ACP was selected by the National Human Development Initiative (INDH) to design a shelter for Single Mothers in the village of Ain Leuh in the province of Ifrane, Morocco. The center will offer medical assistance and counseling to single mothers, dormitories, professional training, and a day care.
The INDH assists the Government in improving inclusiveness, accountability and transparency of decision making and implementation processes at the local level in order to enhance use of social and economic infrastructure and services by poor and vulnerable groups. The INDH tasks are composed of the following components: component one – alleviate poverty in rural areas; component two: alleviate social exclusion in urban areas; component three – alleviate extreme vulnerability; and component four – mainstreaming INDH governance mechanisms and strengthening of institutional capacity.
