Through a competition process, ACP was selected by the Moroccan Ministry of Education to design a high school in the beautiful rural setting of Dar El Hamra. The high school will allow youth from the region to continue to study beyond primary school. The site overlooks a steep river valley and terraced agricultural fields.

classrooms and administrative buildings were designed to allow for optimal thermal comfort during all seasons: all rooms face South, windows are equipped with brise-soleil, insulated clay tiles are used on the roof, and passive ventilation cools the interior during the spring and summer time. Local stone and wood are used.

We will post images of the design throughout its construction process.
