In the village of Ain Taoujtate, set amid beautiful agricultural landscapes and olive groves, the affordable eco-housing project we were commissioned in September 2012 is nearing completion! The two story, 6 units building is a prototype for sustainable, affordable housing in Morocco. Unlike most social housing buildings in Morocco, our project incorporates several simple, yet sustainable and affordable features including: wall and roof insulation, rain water recycling system, water reservoir, roof vegetable gardens and brise soleils. Also, the 6 units are designed to accommodate for future changes by users, namely the integration of balconies within the living room.
The second phase of the project involves the implementation of a community garden and playground.
We thank the contractor Nefertiti and the clients who helped us all make this project come true.
