Edward Broeders

Edward is an architect (NL) with 20 years of international experience, having worked in Canada, Austria, The Netherlands and the Caribbean. He studied architecture in Toronto, Canada and Copenhagen, Denmark and obtained a Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Toronto (1992). His interests are both in the theoretical and practical components of architecture. Since 2004, he has worked in Toronto and abroad, seizing opportunities to work on the prestigious Eurovea International Trade Centre inBratislava , Slovak Republic and on the “Bahnhof City Wien West” in Vienna , Austria . The latter involved the transformation of the city’s main railway station into a intra-regional multi-nodal hub- a mixed-use, high density complex complete with thoroughly modernized facilities. Between 1997 and 2003 and from 2004  to 2012 he has worked as a consultant to Toronto Architects with whom he co-developed concepts for retirement homes throughout Ontario , two of which have been realized. In addition to these, he has designed dwellings, interiors and gardens in joint venture and as a sole proprietor.
